(Cinderella), today an stage at Volkstheater Rostock1) also took part in several radio plays, e.g. the criminal play "Die Roten Schuhe" (The Red Shoes) of Hans Siebe as Sybille (at the side of "Leiser" Peter Reusse!)2) and - 30 years ago - in the fairytale "Der Schweinhirt" (The Pigherd after H. C. Andersen) as Pricess3))
Besindes parts in two russian films, Reusse often appeared in "Polizeiruf 110" (Police Call 110), as in parts "Das Ende einer Mondscheinfahrt (End of a Moonshine Trip, 1972)", "Eine Madonna zu viel (One
Madonna to many, 1973)", "Barry schwieg" (Barry was silent, 1979) as Andreas Hahn, "In einer Sekunde" (Within One Second, 1980, see left) as Klaus Werker, "Der Hinterhalt" (The Ambush, 1980), "Draußen am See" (Outside At The Lake, 1984) als Ralf Bohnke, "Mit List und Tücke" (With Tricks, 1986) "Zwei Schwestern" (Two Sisters, 1987), "Ball der einsamen Herzen" (Ball of the Lonely Hearts, 1990) and "Todesfall im Park" (Death in the Park, 1991) as Mr. Dörfler.1) As a speaker he took part in some radio plays, e.g. besides Carola Braunbock and Carmen-Maja Antoni as Artemon in "Burattino" (after the fairytale "Das goldene Schlüsselchen" of Alexej Tolstoi) besides in "Brüderchen und Schwesterchen" (Brother and Sister) as King, "König Drosselbart" (King XXX leading role), as Hans in "Der gestiefelte Kater" (Puss in Boots), "Die Schildbürger" (The Gothamite) (Ahmad)2) and "Kalaf und Turandot"3). Also in radio plays for adults you can hear him, e.g. in "Geschichte des Götz von Berlichingen mit der eisernen Hand" (Story of Götz of Berlichingen with the Iron Hand, GDR 1973) as Franz, in two parts of teh criminal series "Fälle des Kriminalanwärters Marzahn" (Cases of Detectve aspirant Marzahn, part 8: "Tod auf der Treppe/Death upon the Stairs" as Richardsen and part 10 "Chesterfield" as Fridjof Terjung) and as "Anselmus" in the E.T.A.-Hoffmann-adaption "Der Traum vom Glück" (Dream of Fortune, GDR 1979)4).
Otto ©imanek (King) was born on 28.4.1925 in Trest1) and died 8.5.19922) in Prag1). ©imanek above all became famous by his role Pan Tau which he performed for 22 years, this is 1965 until 78 in the series of the same name and 1988 again in a movie. Besides ©imanek appeared in "Arabela", "Luzie, der Schrecken der Straße" (Luzie, Terror of the Street) and "Die Tintenfische aus dem zweiten Stock" (Squids from the Second Floor). His presumed first appearance in a film he already had in 1946 in "13 Rue Madeleine" as a German staff officer, his last one in 1991 in "Podnajem na Champs Ellysées"1)2).
Kurt Böwe (Vincek) was born in 28.4.1929 in Reetz (Prignitz) and died on 14. 6.2000 in Berlin aged 71.1) In Berlin he was well known and popular for many years as actor on stage as well as on TV . He suffered from serious asthma, which prevented one of seven farmer's children from a future as farmer, and may have made him believe, as Minister President of Brandenburg Manfred Stolpe said in his speech on the occasion of funeral obsequies of Kurt Böwe, he was useless. It could not be expected that Böwe would enter an academic and finally artistic career. Kurt Böwe perfomed on grand Eastern-German stages, e.g. the Maxim Gorki Theater and Volksbühne, Landestheater Halle and - until his death - at Deutsches Theater in Berlin.3) In many parts of "Polizeiruf 110" (Police Call 110 1994 -1999) he played in his careful manner (head)commissioner Kurt Groth. As early as in the 70ern he had guest apperances in this series (1979 in "Tödliche Illusion" (Deadly Illusion) as Dr. Beyer and 1976 in "Vorurteil?" (Prejudice?) as Horst Eggert). In many TV-films he could be seen in leading parts, such as in "Spuk aus der Gruft" (Spectre from the Tomb) of 1998 as Hermann and in "Johannes Kepler" (1974) as Tycho Brahe.1) Especially his performance as narrator in the TV documentation "Die Brandenburger - Chronik eines Landes" (The Brandenburgers - Chronicle of a Country) stayed in memory.3) His voice can be heard since 1965 in various radio plays. Often he performed leading roles, such as the Father in in "Die kluge Bauerntochter" (The smart Farmer's Daughter), the Hedgehog in "Der Hase und der Igel" (Rabbit and Hedgehog) and the Priest in "Die Gerechten von Kummerow" (The Just Ones of Kummerow)2). All in all Kurt Böwe took part in more than 40 radio plays - fairytales, criminal stories, documentations, literature. To name them all would go too far (I recommend the radio play database HoerDat!), therefore now only the awarded ones: for performing Paul Fischbein in: "Besuch beim lieben Gott" (Visit at the Good Lord, GDR 1976) Kurt Böwe got the "Sonderpreis der Hörspielkritiker" for the best performance of the year. GDR-radio play "Die Grünstein-Variante" (The Grünstein Version 1976) was awarded the Prix Italia, "Der Fahrer und die Köchin" (The Driver and the Cook, GDR 1979, Böwe speaks the Driver) and "Vogelkopp" (Birgdhead, GDR 1984, Böwe in the leading role) were awarded the "Autorenpreis der Kritiker" (GDR author's price from the critics), the "Hörerpreis" 1989 (GDR listeners' award) was given for the Kurt-Böwe-monologue "Im Schrank, unterm Bett oder wo" (In the Cupboard, under the Bed or where) 4). Kurt Böwe titled his memoires "Der kurze lange Atem" (The short long breath).3)
Ivan Malré (Private Tutor) acted according to IMDB from 1957 until 1971 in few films, including 1960 "Les Arrivistes" (The Opportunists) and 1967 in "Ein Lord am Alexanderplatz" (A Lord on Alexanderplatz) as Günti Schwalbe1). As Cock he is can be heard in the fairytale radio play "Wie der kleine Fosch seinen Stern fand" (How the Little Frog found it's Star, GDR 1975)2).
(Housekeeper), born on December, 14th 1931 in Berlin has acted in about 10 TV-films and movies1), e.g. in "Leuchtfeuer" (Beacon) of 1954 she had the leading role fisherman's wife. The film is to be somewhat dark, because it is about the population of an Island, who put out the beacon to gain the (hopefuly) edible freight of wrecked ships. Unfortunaltely the first ship getting shipwrecked is not loaded with food, but with children, the islanders desperately try to save2). Sounds gripping to me. Kramms last film must have been "Das Versprechen" (The Promise) of 19941). Of course, this actress, too, appeared in the GDR series "Polizeiruf 110" (Police Call 110), that is in "Der Kreuzworträtselfall" (The Corssword Case, 1988) as Frau Schröder, in "Der Mann im Baum" (The Man in the Tree, also '88) and in "Thanners neuer Job" (Thanner's New Job, 1991). Besides Waltraud Kramm's voice can be heard in the fairytale radio plays "Der Teufel mit den drei goldenen Haaren" (The Devil with Three Golden Hairs as laidy-in-waiting and City Dweller) and "Huckleberry Finn" (Mary Jane)3), as well as in a production of Deutschlandsender Kultur of 1992 about the great hungarian poet Sándor Weöres (1913-1989)4).
(Kamil) is best known as speaker for film dubbings. So he speaks the leading role in the german edition of "The Sentinel", in "Angel" Patrick Kilpatrick1), in the series "Farscape" he lends his voice to Jack Crichton2), at "A Cage of Heroes" he speaks Colonel Klink3). Also in several GDR fairytale radio plays Siebenschuh can be heard, such as in "Cinderella" Prince (!), in "Schneewittchen" (Snow White) even sevenfold (how fitting ;-), that is as all dwarfs)4). But in TV also the Germans can see Siebenschuh occasionally if these parts of the poular series "Polizeiruf 110" (Police Call 110) of 1986, '88 resp. '90 are repeated: "Parkplatz der Liebe" (Parking Lot of Love, Steffen Eisermann), "Präriejäger in Mexico" (Prairie Hunter in Mexico, Porter) and "Allianz für Knete" (Alliance for Money, Torsten Feist)5).
Gerd Blahuschek (Vitek) was born in 1943 in Liessa1). He took part in many TV-productions, at lat he could be seen in a minor part (Niesser) in the Western-Germany criminal series "Tatort" ("Crime Scene": Blüten aus Werder/Dud from Werder, 1999). In the Series "Polizeiruf 110" (Police Call 110) he perfomed more often, e.g. in the parts "Kein Paradies für Elstern" (1974), "Der Tod des Professors" (1974), "Der Mann" (1975), "Kollision" (1977), "Katharina" (1989), "Unsichtbare Fährten" (1989), "Warum ich?" (1990), "Thanners neuer Job" (1991, neben Waltraud Kramm) and "Blue Dream - Tod im Regen" (1993). Also in other TV series Blahuschek had (and probably has) occasionally parts. Mentionable is his perfomance of the leading role in the TV biographical broadcast "Chirurgus Johann Paul Schroth - Eine Geschichte aus den Anfängen der Charité" (Surgeon Johann Paul Schroth - A Story from the Beginning of the Charité, 1980/81)2). Besides Blahuschek dubs a mortal man ("Peter Horton", 3. Staffel) and an immortal (Matlin Peter, Folge 54) in the TV-series "Highlander" (die Duncan aber beide erwischt hat...)3).
In many radioplays Mrs. Antoni has lend her voice to very different figures, e.g. Mimmelitt, the rabbit from town in the samely named childrens' radio play and a sparrow's child in "Geschichte vom kleinen Spatz" (Story of the little sparrow) 5), but also narrator in the fairytale for adults "Rumpelstilzchen" (author: Franz Fühmann) 1987, Aglaja in "Im Viertel des Mondes" (D 1993) and the main role "Zilla" in "Rache für Lorca" (D 2002)6). (Former) children of the GDR above all will know her from "Die Blauen Blitze" (the blue lightning) a live broadcastet pioneers' cabaret. Besides she spoke some puppets in "Bahnhof Puppenstadt" (Station Dolltown) which was broadcastet in the 60ies childrens' good-night-show "Abendgruß" (in western Germany better known as "Sandmännchen"/Sandman) 7). Carmen-Maja Antoni made a name for herself not only through many talking books, but also by her Brecht-interpretations with Johanna Schall (as well actress, director at Berliner Theater, too and granddaughter of Berthold Brecht) the newest of which from 19998) seems to be quite controversial9)).
